Weeks Hot Tips
Saturday
10th November
Back
on track after a needy break we see only three Premiership fixtures
this Saturday and our pick of the bunch has got to be West Ham
away at Derby County @ 7/5. Into the Championship we can see Watford
extending their lead at the top of the table with a comfortable
scoreline againt Colchester. Watford are odds on at 1/2 which
in the grand scheme of things is a good safe bet.
Saturdays
bets as follows:
Watford
v Colchester Utd - home win @ 1.50 (Betfair).
We will be backing a £50 home win
Single
Derby
County v West Ham - away win @ 2.44 (Betfair).
We will be backing a £25 away win Single

We
hope to follow up last weeks good form with a single bet this
week. Whilst for the first time ever there is only one premiership
kick off at 3pm on a Saturday we will be turning our attention
to league one where we fancy Swindon to beat Gillinham at home
at generous odds of 1.85 (4/5). The Gills have not one away yet
this season and with Swindon showing signs of picking up their
run we can only see a home win here.
Saturdays
bets as follows:
Swindon
v Gillingham - home win @ 1.85 (Betfair).
We will be backing a £50 home win.
Result
to follow: Swindon ran out comfortable 5-0 victors!
Saturday
29th September
Back
in full swing we can see some solid results being ground out this
weekend in the premiership for the likes of Manchester United
away at Birmingham, Arsenal away at West Ham and Liverpool away
at Wigan. Further afield we like the look of Bury at home to Accrington
Stanley given Accringtons away record and our banker for the day
has to be Hibs to beat Kilmarnock in the SPL. Kilmarnock have
up to nine of their first team out for this game so should be
easy pickings for a strong Hibs side.
Saturdays
bets as follows:
Wigan
v Liverpool - away win @ 4/7,
Bury v Accrington Stanley - home
win @ 6/5, Hibs v Kilmarnock
- home win @ 8/11. We will be backing
a £20 treble.
A
single bet of £50 on Hibs to beat Kilmarnock @ 8/11
(William Hill)
Result:
Winners all round - a nice treble paying £99.43 profit and
the single showing profit of £37.86.
Monday
17th September
Monday
night see's the meeting of Derby County v Newcastle. When we analysed
this fixture we were pleasantly surprised to see Newcastle trading
at 1.81. Given the contrast in form between the two sides we think
that a price of just over 4/5 to be of outstanding value. So we
have lumped £100 on them to win. Newcastle are unbeaten
in their last five outings whilst Derby cant buy a win at the
moment. New castle are looking sharp up front and should have
scored a fair few more than they have. Derby on the other hand
cant keep the ball out of their onion bag already conceeding 4
and 6 against Spurs and Liverpool respectfully.
We
will be backing Newcastle
away at Derby County @ 1.81 (Betfair)
£50

Result:
Against our better judgement Derby ran out 1-0 victors.....
Saturday
15th September
After
the international break we are once again itching to get our domestic
football underway again and most importantly see some good returns
from the coming fixtures. It's about this time in the season that
we start to see how things are panning out throughout the leagues.
Manchester United are back to winning ways after a shakey opening
couple of games and look good value away to Everton. Rangers and
Celtic both look promising to continue their runs in the SPL.
Our
pick of the day has to go to West Ham who entertain Middlesbro
this Saturday. We can see West Ham notching their first home victory
of the season against a very up and down Middlesbro side. The
same fixture last season see West Ham run out 2-0 victors and
we can see that same scoreline again this Saturday.
We
will be backing West Ham at
home to Middlesbro @ 1.97 (Betfair)

Consistency
is what we are after and where better to look in this current
climate than the Scottish Lower leagues. With the new football
season still in it's infancy there are still plenty of shocks
around to hurt the wallet which is why we we are going to be focused
this week on a couple of Scottish sides in action. East Stirling
over recent seasons have bought many of us some good profit. Now
of course we do mean that whoever East Stirling was playing we
would back the other side which nearly always paid off as East
Stirlings terrible form was so consistent. However this season
so far has seen a revamped slick looking side that is more than
capable of turning over the sides around them. Even though East
Stirling are away this weekend they are still great value in our
book.
East
Fife have started their campaign with a solid start and look good
to extend their unbeaten run further with an expected home win
over lowly Forfar. East Fife in our eyes will walk the Scottish
Third division.
We
will be backing East Fife
at home to Forfar @ 1/2
£50

Result
- Win (East Fife did the business being 3-0 winners)
Sunday
26th August
With
Arsenal ending Manchester City's fine run we can also see Manchester
United breaking their worst start since the Premiership was formed.
Many say that Tottenham have bounced back big style by thrashing
Derby 4-0. Well lets look at this for a moment. On the opening
day of the season Spurs were more than matched up at the Stadium
of Light and lost 1-0. Then came a very well organised Everton
side at the Lane which turned Spurs over with ease 1-3. So then
came a very limp unorganised Derby side which look certain favourites
for the drop. Spurs ran out 4-0 victors which was hardly a surprise.
Again this weekend Spurs will be up against a top quality side
that need to get a win and fast. Manchester United have done everything
possible but score in their opening matches. If they had managed
to put away half of their chances they would be sitting pretty.
Against Tottenham we think all will come good and goals will be
plenty for United. Carlos Tevez will be our pick of the bunch
for first goalscorer.
We
will be backing Manchester United @ 8/15
and Carlos Tevez to be first goalscorer
(5.8 Betfair)

- Win (Manchester United beat Tottenham 1-0) Lose - (Nani was

It
could be said that the start to this season all round has been
rather perculiar with some of the big teams struggling to kick
start their season. Manchester United cant buy a win at the moment
and across the city the blue half are looking in great shape under
the ex england coach. Manchester City have hit the ground running
but we feel that their away trip to Arsenal will be a bridge to
far this Saturday and we see Arsenal the one's to bring City's
run to an end.
We will be backing Arsenal
@ 4/7.

Result
- Win (Arsenal eventually broke down City's defence for a 1-0
victory)
Saturday
18th August
Well
as usual the start of the English football season sees some unpredictable
results. Man Utd drawing their opening two games, Spurs losing
their first two and Everton & Man City sitting pretty on top
of the league. We can see Everton remaining top after their away
trip to Reading. Everton have got off to a flyer and seem to be
playing some great football with pretty much the same squad as
last season. We also believe Man Utd will bounce straight back
and dig out a hard fought victory against their bitter rivals
city.
Althought
most of the midweek games that took place were Worthington cup
games Crystal Palace caught our eye with another good display.
They ran out easy winners on the opening day of the season and
look terrific value at around even money at home to a very lack
lustre Leicester City side.
In
Scotland it looks like Gretna are struggling to come to terms
with top flight football and face another tough away day at Hearts.
We
will be backing Crystal Palace
at home to Leicester City
(2.12 Betfair)

Saturday
11th August
After
last weeks disappointing draw for Celtic we can expect them to
bounce straight back with a win away at Falkirk. We see the price
at 1/2 as very good and will be placing a single on them this
week. With the start of the English football leagues this weekend
we have decided not to venture in straight away but see how things
pan out for the new season. Our picks if we were placing bets
would be Notts Forest at home, Peterborough at home and Newcastle
away. All win singles.
We
will be backing Celtic away
at Falkirk @ 1/2
£50

Result
- Win (Celtic came away from Falkirk 4-1 victors)
Saturday
4th August
This
weekend see's the start of the Scottish Football season and what
better way to see in the new season with a nice old firm double.
Many would agree that again it will be one of the big two that
walks away with the Scottish Premier league title. History would
also suggest this as the last time the leauge was won outside
these two was back in 1986 by Aberdeen. This campaign Rangers
need to get off to a flyer to stay in contention with their fierce
rivals Celtic after last seasons dismal start which kept them
out of the frame.
We
will be backing Rangers away
at Inverness Cally @ 4/9 and
Celtic at home to Kilmarnock
@ 1/5. Although short odds it should see in the new
season with a nice profit!
Inverness
Cally v Rangers - Prediction: Rangers @
4/9
Celtic
v Kilmarnock - Prediction: Celtic
@ 1/5
£50
win double
Result
- Lose (Rangers ran out 3-0 victors over Inverness but a disappointing
0-0 draw at home for Celtic)
1st
August 2007 - Pre Season Bets
With
the arrival of the new season just a few days away with the Scottish
divisions kicking off their campaign first followed a week later
by the English divisions it's time to put up our pre season predictions.
English
Premiership - With the introduction of more world class
players to Manchester United we feel that they will again be slightly
too strong for Chelsea in what looks like another two horse race.
Prediction: Manchester
United: Best Price 11/8.
Championship
-
As ever the championship proves to be such a hard league to predict
which is why it has also become a great spectacle to watch. Although
Charlton are favourites for the division we feel that the loss
of some of their key players will inevitably take it's toll, we
think Charlton in the playoffs at best. The one side that has
been going about their signings rather quietly is Wolves who have
got in some great young talent to beef up their squad. We can
see some real value in backing Wolves to win the Championship.
Prediction: Wolverhampton Wanders: Best
Price 15/2
League
1 -
With an exciting climax to the end of last season Nottingham Forest
were left devasted losing out to Yeovil in the secong leg at the
City ground in the play off's. We believe that Forest have swallowed
that bitter pill and will be run away leaders of League one by
some distance. Some good signings in the closed season will bring
some needed experience to the already talented squad. Watch them
steam roll ahead!! Prediction: Nottingham
Forest: Best Price 9/2
League
2
- Well it would seem that a timely cash injection for Peterborough
was just what the doctor ordered and no time was wasted in bringing
in a whole host of summer signings. Because of this we cant see
anyone touching Peterborough this campaign although we predict
they will be off to a slightly slower start until they find their
feet. After that they will get to the top and stay there! Peterborough
for top scorers as well. Prediction:
Peterborough United: Best Price 4/1
We
will be placing a £10 win Yankee for the above selections
for the coming season. Good luck in whatever choices you make
throughout the leagues. One things for sure, it's going to be
another fantastic season across the divisions!
