Win Single

The win single is one of the most common types of football bet placed and usually ends up being the most profitable over time. Proffesional bettors almost always place a win single for increased profits. A single selection is made and the bet placed.

Win Double

The win double is another popular bet amoungst bettors which can reap some good profit. Two teams with relatively short odds can pay quite well as a double result. Two selections are made and the bet placed.

Treble

For those trying to maximise profit the treble result can pay nicely. Three selections are made and the bet placed. Some bettors use trebles in various permutations. Although a pricey bet to make it can pay huge dividends if all selections come in.

Accumulator

The accumulator bet is the most widely placed bet by gamblers which involves picking four or more selections. All four selections have to win for a payout. Bookmakers love offering this bet as the odds are heavily stacked in their favour hence all high street bookmakers offering the "one from each section" coupon. If all four or more selections win the payout although not life changing can bring in a huge return depending on the odds of course!

Correct Score Betting

A great fun bet to place to make watching a live televised game even more interesting. A scoreline of 1-0, 2-0, 2-1 etc is chosen and bet on. Usually the odds for this type of bet are very good ranging from 6/1 for a 1-0 home win up to 66/1 for a 3-3 draw. Depending on the teams playing a rare unexpected result can carry some high odds and can bring in some massive returns for a couple of pounds outlay. This bet should only be considered for a bit of fun.

Half Time / Full Time

The half time / full time bet involves selecting a match that you think will will have one team winning at half time and the other team winning the match at full time. The odds on this type of bet are usually quite high around the 28/1 or 33/1 mark which if selected and wins pays a lovely profit. It is well worth doing your homework on this type of bet as you will find there are teams out there that regularly take the lead only to let it slip and lose the match.

Total Goals

This type of bet involves predicting the total amount of goals in a game. The bookmaker sets the goal tally i.e "2" and a selection of either under, exactly or above "2" is made. Again doing your homework on teams scoring records can be profitable.

First Scorer

As the bet suggests a player selection is made to be the first goal scorer in the game. Whilst a top striker who is expected to score will have relatively short odds an outside shout like a defender scoring will see some great value odds.

Last Scorer

The same type of bet as the first scorer except the selection is made for a player to be the last goal scorer in the game.

Anytime Scorer

Very similar to the first and last scorer but with anytime scorer a selection is made to score a goal at any point during the game.

Scorecast

With the scorecast bet a player selection is made to score the first goal along with a predicted correct score. Depending on the goal scorer and correct score the odds for some scorecasts are massive. A great fun bet to place whilst watching a live televised game.
